The Big Night In was a British telethon that was made during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was presented by Lenny Henry, Matt Baker, Davina McCall, Zoe Ball, and Patty McGuinness. It featured many guests including, Stephen Fry as Lord Melchett in conversation with Prince William.

Lord Melchett offers to help William with his children's home schooling. Melchett notes that he can spell most words from "cat" to "contrafibularities". The word "contrafibularities" was used in the Blackadder the Third episode "Ink and Incapability", as one of the words that Samuel Johnson had forgotten to include in his dictionary.

Lord Melchett is shown having a photograph of General Melchett (his grandfather) and Lieutenant George from World War 1 (in reality, a promotional photo of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie from Blackadder Goes Forth). The photograph from the 1910s is in color, rather than in black and white.
